California has more than 1000 breweries and that number is growing daily. Having a plan to be noticed in such a crowded segment is key, especially when coming from out of state. In addition to partnering with a great distributor that specializes in the craft industry, we recommend having a brewery representative in the field as often as financially possible. A great distributor will represent you well, but we have noticed that the partnerships that are a combination of brewery employees working closely with a distributor tend to have the most success, especially when introducing a new brand to a highly competitive environment.

California, like many states holds hundreds of beer events in and around most counties. We recommend that you are up to date with the local beer events that can help introduce your brand to the market. The California Craft Brewers Association website is a great resource for local events, and your distributor should be able to help you stay up to date on local events.http://www.californiacraftbeer.com/ccba-events/upcoming-events/
